Monstrinho and Glow will be sharing the walls of Thumbprint Gallery’s new La Jolla location for their first ever duo show together titled, “Tangerines and Monster Dreams.” The show opens this Saturday (November 12, 2011) at 5pm. Make sure to arrive early and show some support for these local San Diego artists.
If we had to describe this video in one word it would be, “Amazing.” Imagery like this is what helps us stay motivated and keep pushing towards something bigger and better. Monstrinho, Persue, and Gloria Muriel out did themselves this time with their recently finished mural in downtown San Diego. Sit back and enjoy this beautifully edited video documenting the whole process.
The Surf to Street art show is this Saturday (February 12th) at the Green Flash Art Gallery in Cardiff, CA. Stop by between 5p and 10p to see new works by Kevin Peterson, Neko, Monstrinho, Surge, Persue, and Tocayo. DJ Leif will be spinning hip-hop all night, while photographer Laena Brandenburg documents the show.
Local San Diego artist and friend of WLC, Monstrinho, started his new year off right with friends Surge, Persue (Bunny Kitty), and Kems. Enjoy.
Monstrinho turned us onto Charlie Malta, aka the Guice Mann a few months ago and we haven’t been able to get enough of him since. He’s an 18 year old red head from Ohio that spends his days drawing on shoes and attending Columbus College of Art and Design.
We were lucky enough to meet Michael “Monstrinho” Amorillo earlier this year and are excited to get the opportunity share his interview with you. For those you you that know Monstrinho, you know that he is a great person with a passion for art. We’d have to say that his passion for art isn’t comparable to anything we’ve ever seen. He is truly an artist who is devoted to perfecting his craft.
We made our way down to the House of Elements in Barrio Logan last Saturday for Tha Illist art show. With a name like that we weren’t really sure what to expect, but to our surprise it was truly the “illist” art show that we’ve ever seen.
