Michael C. Hsiung is an amazing illustrator based out of Los Angeles. He has a very unique style of art that usually includes obese men riding animals and is inspired by mythology and cryptozoology. Michael is part of the Human Pyramids Artist Collective and spends his spare time keeping the Vans art blog fresh.
Andrew Holder is a Los Angeles based artist and graphic designer that is known for his simple use of shapes, bright colors, and screen printed posters. We were lucky enough to collaborate with Andrew on our latest limited edition print titled, Last Train to the Summit.

As we stumbled upon Lou Mora’s website a few weeks ago, we thought to ourselves…why have we never met Lou and why haven’t we seen his work before. We began to list all the reason’s why we should know Lou; he’s from San Diego, takes amazing photos (some of which are of people we know), believes “less is more”, enjoys clear water and salty air…
We were introduced to Michael C. Hsiung while lining up the artists for our second annual Eighth Ply art show with Sk8ology that is planned for later this year. An introduction to The Human Pyramids Collective shortly followed. Let’s just say that they are one of the raddest groups of artists and creatives that we’ve come across in a long time.
Blood is the New Black…no it really is! Just ask Mitra Khayyam, founder of artist driven fashion brand, Blood is the New Black aka BITNB. Take a moment to read about how Mitra got started in the fashion industry, came up with the name for BITNB, and the answers to a bunch of other questions you wanted to know but where afraid to ask.
We are constantly getting emails about weekly art show openings and events to post on our site. Starting this week We Love Creativity is going to be sharing with you our top choices. We’re going to call it The Lineup. With that being said, let’s get down to business and see what’s going on this week.
We are always excited when we receive an email from the good people at Obey Giant, especially when it’s information about a future art exhibit. Shepard Fairey’s Printed Matters will be opening at Subliminal Projects Gallery in Los Angeles on September 16th from 8p – 11p.
