Monstrinho and Glow will be sharing the walls of Thumbprint Gallery’s new La Jolla location for their first ever duo show together titled, “Tangerines and Monster Dreams.” The show opens this Saturday (November 12, 2011) at 5pm. Make sure to arrive early and show some support for these local San Diego artists.
We occasionally get contacted by artists from around the world about interviewing them. When Kruella d’Enfer contacted us with a link to her portfolio…we didn’t know what to expect. We Love Creativity and Sk8ology have teamed up with DJhere Productions for the second annual Eighth Ply skateboard deck art show. This year’s exhibit is at the Hard Rock Hotel’s “FLOAT” in San Diego and includes over 60 artists with one common medium, a skateboard deck.
New York graffiti artist, Lin ‘QUIK’ Felton’s solo exhibition is opening tonight at SHOE’s Unruly Gallery in Amsterdam. The opening reception is by invite only, so hopefully your name made the guest list. If not, you can stop by this Saturday or Sunday between the hours of 11a and 7p to check out QUIK’s latest works.
We stumbled across a video of Aaron De La Cruz painting a large black and white mural in West Oakland, CA and knew we had to share it with you. We love the simplicity and uniqueness of Aaron’s work. Take a moment out of your busy lives to check out this entertaining short clip.
World renowned graffiti artist and creator of Calligraffiti, Niels Shoe Meulman, recently opened the Unruly Gallery in Amsterdam. To celebrate the opening of the gallery, Shoe curated his first exhibit entitled, the Unruly Gallery Group Show.
Neko is a graffiti artist turned fine artist from San Diego. You can find him at the Turf Club hitting on your girlfriend when he’s not busting out new work at his studio. Check out our exclusive Q+A with Neko.
If we had to describe this video in one word it would be, “Amazing.” Imagery like this is what helps us stay motivated and keep pushing towards something bigger and better. Monstrinho, Persue, and Gloria Muriel out did themselves this time with their recently finished mural in downtown San Diego. If you’ve grown up Skateboarding or Snowboarding, there is a good chance that you have been in contact or even owned something that Persue, aka Bunny Kitty, designed or created. We’ve been a fan of Persue’s work for years…he helped launch several successful action sports brands that include: Droors, Dub, and DC shoes. Since than, Persue has traveled the world and painted with many well known graffiti artists. Persue and his two brothers currently run HOME, a San Diego based clothing boutique.
